Arron Dobson

Arron is a Human Resources Consultant with McConnell HR Consulting Inc.

 

She holds an Honours B.Comm, majoring in Human Resources Management, from the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa.  Arron is a member of the HRPA and is pursuing her CHRP designation.

 

Arron has been actively involved in Ottawa’s HR community, co-founding the Telfer Human Resources Association and holding the position of Co-President for two years.  She has received multiple awards in the field of Human Resources Management, including first place wins in several national inter-university HR academic case competitions.  She has Human Resources experience in the areas of Recruitment and Selection, Employment Equity, and Rewards and Recognition. 

 

Her experience includes:

 

·  Preparing HR Tool Kit “Tip Sheets” for the Information and Communications Technology Council (ICTC).

·  Interviewing employees and writing job descriptions for the Canadian Internet Regulatory Authority (CIRA).

·  Drafting Human Resources policies and procedures for the Vanier Institute of the Family.

·  Preparing job descriptions for the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC).

 

Arron has also worked as:

 

·  Co-op Program Coordinator for the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC).

·  Recognition Committee Coordinator, Operational Management and Coordination Unit, Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC).

·  HR Policy and Programs Junior Officer, Human Resources Branch, Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).
